The Right Reverend Graham Cray is Bishop of Maidstone, in the Diocese of Canterbury. He is author of several books on youth culture and postmodernism. A graduate of Leeds University and St John's College, Nottingham, Graham Cray was ordained in 1971 and has been a Parish Priest in both the south and north of England, Area Coordinator of the Youth Dept of the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS)(75-78) and was Principal of Ridley Hall Theological College in Cambridge (1992-2000) - a college for the training of Anglican clergy. He is a former Chair of the Greenbelt Festival, and currently chairs the trustees of the Soul Survivor youth ministry.
His special concerns are for the mission of the church in contemporary culture and for renewing the theological foundations of the Charismatic movement. His leisure interests include listening to rock music. |
